How do you clean a silk comforter?
Q. I have a silk comforter made with silk batting that I'd like to wash. Is it okay to wash in the washer/dryer? Or does this take special cleaning methods? I bought comforter/duvet in China on a trip there. Instructions were included but they were in Chinese!

A. As others have mentioned, you should absolutely dry clean it, or have it professionally "wet cleaned." Although you can machine or hand-wash many silk items in water, the silk floss used as batting in your comforter is not designed for machine washing.
