I am glad that Israel exists and I support the preservation of a Jewish homeland but I'm not happy about the settlers who keep expanding into Palestinian and other territories contributing to more conflict in the name of religious nationalism. Many in the media deem the settlers or those who support them; "Zionists" but that seems too broad. What are the differences? Thanks and please avoid too many links. No Wikipedia links please. Before the creation of the state of Israel there were many who campaigned for a Jewish homeland and this political movement was called Zionism. After the establishment of a Jewish homeland, this term has been used to describe expansionist policies. It has become a politically loaded word that only sets off arguments. Normally when you see that word in a question you can surely run into someone calling someone a Nazi. Thanks to the first poster for making that streak continue. Case closed. All people in the conquered territories would immediately be granted citizenship by the US government after the conquering of the territory ended. The US could have exported the ideas of capitalism, democracy, equality among all people and the idea that everyone should have a chance to make a good life for themselves through conquering territories in the Western Hemisphere and making them states with US democratic administrations.
