Martial Arts. The only one TRUE Art! Matrixing!?
Q. To all of you martial arts experts & masters out there! There is this website at www.monstermartialarts.co m. It talks about the concept of matrixing to increase the speed of learning Karate, Kung Fu, Aikido etc... Also talks about the 'Drill that nobody knows', and i quote from the website "...we have the exact data necessary to become a Master Instructor. No, not 'boot camp' conditioning. No, not 'secret techniques.' Just...the underlying principles of all arts!" Can you guys and girls please check out this website and tell me if its worth buying this useful information or whether it is a complete scam? Please help me before I waste anymore time and money! All your thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

A. Just based on a little quick research and watching the "Matrix Aikido in 80 Minutes" video... I'd say the program is more scam than legit. Rule #1 - If someone is "selling" something, they are going to hit you with ideas that either appeal to desire or address a frustration. In this case, the founder is hyping his "product" on the desire of many to be a "master martial artist" and the frustrating idea that "mastery" of martial arts takes years. So, he is using marketing techniques that get us to buy "fast food", "get rich quick plans", and/or "instant weight loss from a pill". Having said that... He is being honest about one thing. There are underlying principles of movement that are the basis of martial arts. Principles… [cont.]

What skills are good for a lawyer to have?
Q. For example what 2nd major would benefit them the most - psychology or something in the arts to round them out? Being empathetic, or just cold calculating to go after the bad guy or ? For example I hired a lawyer for an emotional case for abuse, and he's always "reminding" me that he's not my therapist. Geez, maybe he should be if he's going to be asking me personal questions and then expecting me to be so open with him?

What's the difference between culinary arts and baking?
Q. I really like making cakes and things, and I want a future that involves that. I looked at some University things and was wondering what the difference between baking and culinary arts is, like, isn't culinary arts just food in general? And which one is more successful in the world? Do bakers get paid more than cooks? And is there a chance to travel?
Asked by Jen - Sun Nov 9 19:57:06 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. basically culinary arts involves cooking, not baking. you should take a pastry course if you want to learn more about cake making, and baking in general. as for salary, it kind of depends on how good you are and where you live, and the travel opportunities...that's kind of up to you

A. Fine Arts is more historical and theoretical. He'd be learning about art history and the techniques associated with different periods. Visual Arts is more practical. He'd be creating a lot of his own work, and studying contemporary styles that apply to the world of today, rather than history.

A. Hello, i am in mixed martial arts. I have done Tae kwon do, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu. and Wrestling what you should do is depending on the martial arts. but you should work on conditioning most. What i do is monday and tuesday, work outs. curls, push ups. military presses, sit ups, pull ups. and ab work outs. On wednesday i do straight conditioning. always stretch before. Thursday and friday, i work on my leg muscles. squatting and stretching and leg pressing. But if you are a begenniner, i suggest you take one day breaks. and remember, muscle and cardio builds while you are sleeping. so get a lot of rest! Good luck!
